Board

Amalee Dahman - President

In 2012, Amalee’s husband wanted to organize a fun relaxed event with friends, all while helping children. This organization has become one incredibly near and dear to her heart. She feels fulfilled helping support local organizations that do so much for our children and truly helping them feel like a kid again. Amalee loves showing her daughters Dalia and Luna and son Zane what a pleasure it is to give back to others. It’s her hope that one day her children will volunteer, raise money and TRY The Berkshire Triathlon. She wants them to realize what a difference they can make in the world.

Ed Lundberg - Vice President

Deeply rooted in local Columbus causes, Ed's passion for charitable work spans nearly 20 years after the passing of a close college friend changed his perspective. From that point, Ed has focused his free time on raising awareness and funds for a variety of organizations. He has sat on boards focused on giving back to the community and positively impacting the lives of others. His motivation is to see others smile big and live healthy lives. Ed resides on the east side with his wife, Ashley, and infant twin girls, Ollie and Everly.

Eric McGraw - Secretary

Eric has been a participant in the Berkshire Tri since 2013 and a board member since 2016, after his brother and sister-in-law invited him to the event. An avid runner, the Berkshire Tri was his first try-athlon, which led him to participate in other Columbus community sports organizations and fitness events. Eric lives in Grandview.

Will McLain - Treasurer

Will has been involved with the Berkshire Triathlon since 2013 and a board member since 2015. Every summer he looks forward to spending a week at Flying Horse Farms volunteering and of course the triathlon. Helping others and paying it forward is what life is all about to Will. On the weekend, you can find Will spending time with his family or building something in the garage.

Heather McLain - External Communications

Heather has been involved with the Berkshire Triathlon since its beginning. She felt the generosity first hand in 2014 when this amazing organization donated all silent auction proceeds to help pay hospital bills for her nephew, who was born at 24 weeks and in the NICU for 96 days. Heather truly believes in paying it forward to all people in need. She is an avid volunteer at Flying Horse Farms and loves seeing how the magic of camp transforms FHF families. Her favorite weekend activity is strolling the Short North with her husband Will, daughter Emerson and dog, Carl.

Mitch Stafford - Risk Management

Mitch has been in the Ohio Army National Guard for 18 years and has served in 3 overseas tours of duty. He sells insurance for Hosket Ulen and is a proud husband and father of Will, his 3 year-old son. Mitch is passionate about fitness, and enjoys competing in marathons and triathlons. He enjoys serving on the Berkshire Triathlon board, and he is looking forward to many more.

Dani Wilkinson - Volunteer Coordinator

Dani has been involved with the Berkshire Triathlon since 2017 in a volunteer capacity, and currently serves as the Camp Director at Flying Horse Farms, one of the Berkshire Triathlon’s benefactors. Dani has a heart for service, giving back and supporting children who are living with serious illnesses and their families.

Sean Ryan - Race Director

Sean is an avid endurance runner who also enjoys swimming, biking, and contributing back to the community. In his hometown of Omaha, Nebraska, he organized an annual 5k Shamrock Run to support a special needs school and often volunteered with a Triathlon series. With his new roots in Columbus, he aims to continue his passions and is looking forward to bringing the experience he gained as a race director to the Berkshire Tri. Sean lives in Upper Arlington with his wife, Erin, who has also volunteered with the SeriousFun Network.

Samir Dahman - Past-President

Samir enjoys exercising, hanging out, and feels a duty to help others. He is deeply honored that Amalee and the rest of the board have grown a little backyard barbecue into the amazing event the Berkshire Triathlon has become.
